Joy C. Chandler, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Melvin and Florence Kestner. Joy retired from Parkview Randallia where she worked in the cafeteria for 25 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Herbert R. Chandler of Fort Wayne; her children, Rita (Roger) Richter of Mascoutah, IL; Karen (Butch Schmid) Cunningham; Susan Valadez; Sandra Chandler; Brenda Chandler; James Chandler; David (Julie Shovlin) Chandler all of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Mario Valadez. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm , Thursday, June 28, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton St. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery.
