Joseph Michael "Joe" Murphy, 77, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Joe was the son of the late Vincent and Iantha Murphy. Joe worked as an inspector with PHD for over 30 years, prior to his retirement. He was extremely active in the Fort Wayne Obedience Training Club for many years. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Murphy; children, Kari Landis, Paul Murphy; grandson, Nathan Glaser; sister, Carolyn (Fred) Hirl; niece; Maureen Devine; nephews, Johnny Devine, Kevin Devine, and Michel Hirl; and his faithful companion dog, Rosa. Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Louise Ann Murphy and sister, Lois Devine. Service is 1 pm, Friday, July 15, 2022 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 11 am until the service. Burial in Covington Memorials Gardens. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Animal Care and Control.
