Joseph A, Barry, 84, of Leo, IN, passed away on Sunday December 28th 2025 at his home with his family at his side. Joe served in the United States Marine Corp. He went to work at the Fort Wayne International Harvester/Navistar plant and retired after 30 years. He then continued working for the Horizon Transport Company for an additional 20 years and retired again in 2012. Joe was a member of the Leo Legion Post 409. He enjoyed NASCAR and Indy car racing. He also played cards, line dancing, loved to travel and camping,
Joe is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Judy Barrry; daughter, Terri (Eric) Rhode; son, Scott (Debbie) Guthier; sister, Laura Farlow; brother, Ronald Barry Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jody Alan Barry; parents, Ronald Sr. and LaVon Barry; sister, Susan Barry; brothers, Tom Barry and Rick Barry.
A visitation will be held on Sunday January 4th,2026 from 2-5 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. There will be a funeral service for Joe on Monday January 5th,2026 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning 1 hour prior at Northpoint Community Church, 10513 Leo Road. There will be a luncheon following the service at church, then a procession to Greenlawn Memorial Park where Joe will receive military honors. Preferred memorials may be directed to Northpoint Community Church.
