Joseph Henry “Hank” Amstutz was surrounded by his family when he went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on March 29th, 2026.
Born on May 5th, 1961, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joe served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps before moving into a career in aerospace developing satellites. He held many positions across his life and career but the ones that he cherished most were Husband, Dad, and Papa. He spent his life in service of others, always willing to lend a hand without complaint and no questions asked. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, fun, and lots of love. He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years Robin Amstutz, his children Logan (Julie) Amstutz, Kiara (Ryan) Kreger, Colton (Caroline) Amstutz, and Mariah Crousore, and his grandchildren Henry, Jaina, Theodore, Gideon, Myka, Lucy, Vincent, and Beatrice. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly Amstutz, and his siblings - Jennifer Lamb, Ed Amstutz, Dennis Amstutz, Jenise Denning, and Eric Amstutz. He was preceded in death by his father John “Jack” Amstutz and his brother William Amstutz.
A viewing will be held on April 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home. An additional visitation will occur at 9:00 AM immediately preceding his Celebration of Life on April 4th at 10:00 AM at Pine Hills Church. Burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to support others in their battle with pancreatic cancer. Donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/donate.
