Jon Eric Sauers, 72, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Chincoteague, Virginia, to the late James and Betty Sauers. Jon graduated from New Haven High School and was one of six siblings. He spent many years serving as a taxi driver in Fort Wayne. He also had a strong passion for baseball and enjoyed being a certified umpire for many years. Jon is survived by three of his siblings, Donnie J. (Sauers) Salloum, Linda Sue (Sauers) Clifford-Bales, and Melita J. (Sauers) Drake. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Patrick Sauers and Lyle Dean Sauers.
