Obituary

Jon Duane Bricker entered eternal rest on December 10th, 2021.

Jon was born July 10, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up in Defiance, Ohio but rode to school everyday with his father Harley Kennedy Bricker of Bricker Plating in Bryan, Ohio where he graduated from Bryan High School in 1963. He attended Ohio State for a year after High School, then transferred to Tri-State University, but then later graduated from Indiana University in Fort Wayne with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Accounting. He was married to his former wife, Pamela Woodring, in 1969. They had two children Amy in 1974 and Christopher in 1981.

He worked in sales for Magnavox in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1968-1973 before joining his father's business. Then moved to Orlando, Florida in 1982, where he worked in sales selling security systems. Until finally moving back to Fort Wayne in 1992 to be closer to his children.

He finally achieved his dreams of becoming a Golf Professional after being an avid golfer all his life. He worked and played at Noble Hawk Golf Links up until 2019. He loved working with the junior teams, loved planning outings and making it easier to enjoy the game of Golf. Most people met him while he was riding around in the Ranger's Cart taking photos. During the winters he enjoyed substitute teaching for all the local schools. He was loved by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harley & Marlynn Bricker, and two brothers Harold Bricker (Bob) and Harley Bricker Jr (Sandy). He is survived by his siblings Rebecca Kocerha (Becky), Charles Bricker (Charlie), Timothy Bricker (Tim), two children Christopher Bricker and Amy Bear-Coffelt, three Grandchildren Skye Bear, Dylan Bear & Ian Bricker, and two Great Grandchildren Canaan Bear & Evelyn O'Brien. Per Jon's wishes, private family cremation services were held. Preferred memorials in Jon's honor may be directed to FirstTeeIndiana.org.
