John "George" Settles, Jr., age 64 , of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 18th, 2023.
He was the son of John Sr. and Nora Settles . John enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He was not fond of cold weather and loved any time spent in Florida. John was also an avid reader, especially the works of Western novelist, Louis L'amour.
John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Laura; daughters, Lindsey (Jeffery Vibbert) Settles, and Ashley (Miquel Riojas) Settles; son, Richard (Marie) Waikel; grandchildren, Kierra, Richard Jr., Dylan, Kali, Joshua, Ben, Matthew, Blake, and Aubree; sisters, Debbie Richter, Kay Monday, Shelia Tigner, and Jennifer Settles-Frazier.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Nora; brother, Charlie Settles; and sister, Nancy Cox.
