John Wayne Ohneck, 73, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. He graduated from North Side High School, where he played baseball and ran hurdles. John worked for Rae Magnet Wire for over 30 years. He also worked for the Allen County Highway Dept., State Highway and Haag Drugs. John was an active member of First Christian Church, serving as an elder and property chair. He ran the Associated Church Food Bank for 10 years. John loved to play golf, spend time with his friends at American Legion Post 296. John was an amazing man and friend and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife, Kristy Ohneck; children, Robert (Becky) Critell, Jackie (Ken) Knox, Denay (Jeremy) Bradtmiller, Tracey (Robert) Krayer, Jessica (David) Anderson Fowlkes; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Ohneck; mother, Eugenia Stabler; sisters, Glenda Ohneck, and Karen Ohneck. Service is 1 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at First Christian Church, 6404 S. Calhoun Street, with calling from 11 am until the service. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Stillwater Hospice, or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
