John W. James Jr., 78, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana John was the son of the late John W. James Sr. and Juanita James who survives. John served our country as a U.S. Army veteran. John worked for Zollner Pistons for 30 years prior to retiring. After retirement from Zollner's he worked in maintenance for several companies until his final retirement in 2007. John was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Carolyn James; children, Al Wasson, Donnie (Lesley) Wasson, Lonnie (Ronda) Wasson, Dan (Sherri) Wasson, Cheri (Jeff) Smith; children from a previous marriage, Tamara Cook, Julie (Doug) Swisher, John W. James III.; grandchildren Brian (Crystal) Wasson, Mallory (Trey) Anglemyer, Britney Wasson, Crystal (Verlin) Ramsey, Michelle Wasson, Danielle Wasson, Kayla Wasson, Eric (Stephanie) Smith, Hailey Smith; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Larry) Jackson, and Joyce Masterson. John was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tom Masterson. Memorial Service is 12 pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling one hour prior, Pastor Connor Guerzini officiating. Memorials may be made to University Park Nursing Home or Family Life Care Hospice.
