John F. Hartman, age 79, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Gerald and Lillian Hartman. John owned and operated John Hartman Excavating alongside his sons and always enjoyed spending time on the family farm. He attended County Line Church of God and was a car enthusiast, owning several Corvettes. John is survived by his children, John (Sara) Hartman II of Fort Wayne, Jerad (Nicole) Hartman of Leo, IN, and Joshua (Brittany) Hartman, Auburn, IN; six grandchildren, Roxanne, Jensen, Madison, Jordan, Jacob, and Nicholas; siblings, Annetta King of Fort Wayne, Carma (Rick) Shoemaker of Spencerville, IN, and Bill (Jan) Hartman of Leo, IN. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Beauchot; grandson, Zachary Lee Hartman; sister, Diana Theil; and brother, Harry Lee Hartman. Service is 11:00 am, Monday, January 22, 2024 at County Line Church of God, 7716 N. County Line Road E., Auburn, IN with calling one hour prior.
