John Theodore Ehrhardt, 65, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1960, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of Barbara Joyce Ehrhardt and the late Richard Conrad Ehrhardt. Barbara's partner in life, Jim Humphries, also played a meaningful role in John's life. John graduated from Manchester College and went on to build a career in sales, where he spent most of his professional life. He was known for his strong work ethic, warm personality, and ability to connect with people. Outside of work, John had a deep passion for golf, and he enjoyed collecting, learning about, and safely using firearms. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lora Beth Ehrhardt (Bohnstedt); his daughter, Chelsea Louraine Carroll (Ehrhardt), and son-in-law, Kyle Joseph Carroll; and his cherished grandchildren, Louraine Norma Carroll and Leon Mayer Carroll. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Joyce Ehrhardt, and her partner, Jim Humphries; his brother, Tom Ehrhardt, and sister-in-law, Shonne; along with many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. John was preceded in death by his father, Richard Conrad Ehrhardt. He will be remembered most for his love of family, his humor, and the joy he found in being a husband, father, and grandfather. His memory will live on in the lives of those he loved so deeply. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3pm located at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street) with calling from 1pm until the service.
