Jodie Ann Johnson, age 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born in Kendallville, Indiana, to the late Jerry and Nancy Freeman.

Jodie devoted her life to caring for her family as a loving homemaker and took great pride in homeschooling all of her children. Jodie gave her life to Christ at a young age and was a faithful member of New Heights Baptist Church, where she served as the church pianist. For 18 years, Jodie also operated a day care, where she lovingly cared for over 50 children, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jodie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Del Johnson; daughters, Jill Johnson, Julia Spieth, Katie (Ryan) Taylor, Kellie (Jordan) Lovens, and Alexis Johnson; 9 grandchildren; and one great-grandson; three siblings, Cindy (Dan) Lash, Greg (Lisa) Freeman, and Doug (Alison) Freeman.

Service is 6:00 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2026, at New Heights Baptist Church, 1816 Klug Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46818, with calling two hours prior, beginning at 4:00 pm. Memorials may be made to New Heights Baptist Church. To sign the online guestbook, go to www.fairhavenfortwayne.com
