Joanne Burgett Miller, 88, passed away peacefully at Lutheran Life Villages Pine Valley on Saturday, February 27, 2021 with her children by her side. Joanne was born in Tuscola, Illinois the daughter of the late Burley and Orpha Burgett. Joanne was a dental assistant before raising her children and was a volunteer at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for many years. She was married to the love of her life Stanley who preceded her in death in 2017. Surviving are her children Catherine (Frederick) Peterson, Scott (Kevin Heck) Miller, Bradley (Angela) Miller, Phillip (Patricia) Miller; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Service is 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd, with calling from 11 am until the service, Rev. Thomas Eggold and Rev. Sam Troemel officiating. Mask and social distancing are required. The service will be live streamed on Emmanuel Lutheran Church's youtube channel and Facebook page. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
