Joanne Kendregan, 89, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Kankakee, Illinois to the late August and Colletta Mear. Joanne was a basket weaver and a master gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature. She was a lover of all animals, especially dogs and cats. She would regularly rescue animals and bring them home to help them "for a little while" until that "little while" would almost always turn into many years or the life of the animal. She enjoyed her work where she served as a secretary at IPFW and Bishop Dwenger for 18 years combined. Joanne is survived by her four sons, Shawn (Trish) Kendregan, Brendan Kendregan, Casey (Judy) Kendregan, and Colin Kendregan; and two grandchildren, Nichole (Rob) Hamilton and Melissa Shaw and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Merton and Delbert Mear. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
