Joan "Joeann" Sophie Staugaard, age 72, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home. She was born in Hamtramck, MI to the late Alfred and Genny Peruski. Joeann worked her career as a beautician, operating her own salon out of her home many years. She was a member of Kensington Church (MI). She enjoyed staying active with Jazzercise, and traveling with RVing Women. Joeann is survived by her children, Frank (Leslie) Talarico of Fort Wayne, IN, Saule Staugaard of Auburn Hills, MI and Angel Staugaard of Clarkston, MI; four grandchildren, Giovanni, Francesca, Vincenza, and Rocco; sister, Christine (John) Ossowski; and her dog, Maisy Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Staugaard. A memorial service is 11:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Creekside Christian Church, 925 E. Auburn Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307 with visitation two hours prior beginning at 9:00 am. There will be an open house and lunch following the service from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the church.
