Obituary

Joan Elizabeth Dyben, the baby in a family of nine, the caboose to the Dyben train, God's gracious gift. Joan's story did not end the way we would have wanted but there sure were chapters of her life that filled our lives with joy and laughter.
The bible talks about a merry heart does good like a medicine and her family can attest to the fact that Joan sure loved to make people laugh. Her sense of humor, which was really her specific "brand" of humor, would leave us in stitches. Generosity was a large part of her early life; she would give you the shirt off of her back if she thought it would help you in your time of need. She was a trend setter with her love of fashion and enjoyed the finer things of life…Joan truly was a gift from God.
We will learn from her life and look for ways to honor her memory in her death.
Joan died on Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was the youngest daughter of Jerry and Deann Dyben who proceeded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Hayley Forester (Michael), five grandchildren, Lincoln, Beckham, Bexley, MJ and Valley; siblings Gary (Jean) Dyben, Greg (Debi) Dyben, David Dyben, Scott (Sharon) Dyben, Sue (Todd) Heckley, Diane (Joe) Gibson, Paul (Pam) Dyben and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by a beloved sister-in-law, Melissa Dyben, a brother, Terry Dyben, and two nephews, Jason Dyben and Jordan Heckley.
We know that death is not the opposite of life but a part of it and so we plan to rejoice and celebrate Joan's life.
