Joan Viola Bredemeyer, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana Joan was the only child of the late Raymond and Flora (Roehm) Karr. Joan graduated from Central High School and attended Fort Wayne Art School on a full scholarship. She was a talented artist and seamstress and enjoyed playing jeopardy into her 90's. She married Don Bredemeyer on May 26, 1951. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and an active member of Senior Saints. Surviving are her daughters, Christine (Craig) Ostermeyer, Kathleen (Michael Gobert) Bredemeyer, Michele (Don) Remenschneider, Joy (fiancé Mike Shuler) Cook; grandchildren, Cara (Mike) Tapp, Michael Ostermeyer, Andrew (Stephanie) Remenschneider, Joseph Remenschneider, Ben (Madi) Remenschneider, Jac Cook, Dillon Gobert, Dayton Gobert; along with 10 great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bredemeyer and her daughter, Heidi Bredemeyer. Service is 11 am, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, with calling from 9 am until the service. Burial in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Building Campaign. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
