Joan Elizabeth Bartnick, age 78, passed away on August 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Louis, MO to the late Richard and Ina Hemker. Joan worked at JR Insurance for 13 years, and also as a private secretary and typist in St. Louis, MO. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Bartnick of Fort Wayne; son, Daniel (Cheryl) Bartnick of Fort Wayne; daughter Denise Mineart of Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Kyle Bartnick; and sister, Carol Bostick of St. Louis, MO. Service is 11:00 am Sunday, August 26, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St, with calling 2 hours prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am.
