Jesse Barta, 86, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Fort Wayne. He was born in New Kensington, PA to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Barta. Jesse proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, and later worked 30 years for International Harvestor. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and a former fireman for Logans Ferry Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Jesse was an avid fisherman, golfer, and a taxidermist. He is survived by his daughters, Beth Ann (Kevin) Owen, and Colleen Moerchen both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Megan (Kevin), Emma, Chloe, Parker, and Lydia; and great-grandchildren, Kaden and Jayce. Jesse was also preceded in death by wife, Philomena Ann Barta; a brother; and a sister. A graveside service is 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Ave. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
