Obituary

Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Nott, 62, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Born in Garrett, Indiana, Jeff was the son of the late Harold Nott and M. Jeanette (Atwater) Nott, who survives. He graduated from Woodlan High School, class of 1983. During his working years, Jeff worked at several factories before retiring.

Jeff married the love of his life, Stephanie Nott, and they shared eight years of marriage before her passing in 2012. He enjoyed barbecuing, watching old movies and videos, and scrolling through videos on his phone. A true Western movie enthusiast, Jeff especially loved watching John Wayne. Known for his great sense of humor, Jeff was a jokester who could bring a smile to those around him. He was a happy, generous person who would gladly help anyone in need. Although he could be stubborn at times, Jeff had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Surviving are his mother, Jeanette Nott; children, Brittney McBride, Bethany (Travis) Mueller, and Kris Sowers; grandchildren, Wyatt and Cameron Mueller, Storm and Hollanie Sowers, and twins, Carlee and Leelen Sowers; siblings, Pam Nott, Brian (Barb) Nott, Carolyn (Randy) Bridge, Steve (Megan) Nott, and Donna (Greg) Weber; along with many nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Harold, and his beloved wife, Stephanie.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with calling from 2:00 p.m. until the service. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
