Jeff Barbour's Obituary

Jeff Barbour, 48, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He loved being outside and riding in his Trans AM with his beloved dogs. He enjoyed building and fixing computers, and found joy in talking and working with the elderly and handicapped. Jeff is survived by his father, Jack (Shari Thomas) Barbour; sister, Shelly Barbour; step brothers, Matthew Thomas, Christopher (Paula) Thomas; step sister, Sarah (Jason) Cumberland; Aunts, Linda Burch, Becky Suyeyasu; uncle, Mike Scherer; Aunt, Jane (Rod) Garcia; many cousins; and his beloved princess, Rooby. He was preceded in death by his step brother, Patrick Thomas; grandparents, Wilbur and Marietta Barbour, Harold and Elizabeth Jackson; mother, Debra Jackson; aunt, Janet Scherer; uncles, Richard Burch, Mike Suyeyasu, Bob Hurst; and his beloved "boys" Rosco, Raymond, and Roofus. A visitation will take place on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Fairhaven Funeral Home (6557 N. Clinton Street) from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at noon with visitation one hour prior. A burial at Greenlawn Cemetery will take place following the service. Memorial Donations may be given to Fort Wayne Humane or SPCA.
