Jeanette Ilene Bearfield (Allison) passed away on Thursday March 5, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 77 years old. Jeanette was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 10, 1948, to James Allison and Ruby Allison (Storey). She was the oldest of the "Allison 12" that was soon to come. She worked at Lutheran Hospital on Fairfield Avenue for nearly 30 years. She married Lucius Bearfield Jr on October 2,1965. They were married 60 years.
Jeanette was baptized along with her husband in 1977 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a member of the Maumee River congregation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You could always tell she was in the room because you could smell her signature scents, “La Vie Est Belle or Coco Chanel Mademoiselle". She will be missed along with her hugs and kisses.
Surviving are her husband Lucius Bearfield, Jr of Fort Wayne, IN. Daughter Joyce (Gary) Walker of Georgetown, KY. Tameka McGraw of Fort Wayne, IN. Grandchildren - Gerren (Mia) Walker of Kissimmee, FL, Bailey (Davontae ) Williams of Fort Wayne, IN. Great grandchildren- Armon Bearfield of Fort Wayne, IN, Naomi and DaVaughn Williams of Fort Wayne, IN. Sister-in-law Emma Rogers of Fort Wayne, IN.
Siblings - Veronica (William) Montgomery of Indianapolis IN, James Allison of Middleton, RI, Darryl Allison of National City, CA, Ruby Allison of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Ann (Warren) Thomas of Vicksburg, MS, Cheryl K (Gary) Underwood of Fort Wayne, IN, Roland Allison - Fort Wayne, IN and Robert Allison of San Diego, CA.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents James and Ruby Allison, her grandparents - Jordan and Francis Allison, her maternal grandparents William and Margaret Storey. Aunts Katie (Augustus) Daniels, Vadie (Jerome) Frane. Her siblings JoAnn (Oscar) Turner, Vernon Allison and Vadie Mae Strozer.
