Jean Dray, 96, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died on April 18, 2025. Born February 6, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Gladys (Goldner) Conrad. She is survived by her son, Larry Dray; daughters, Nancy Gerding and Diane Hofer; grandchildren, Brandon (Autumn) Ball, Jennifer (Patrick) Kuhlman, Elizabeth (Bryan) McGovern, Benjamin (Rebecca) Hofer, Emily (John) Koval, Erin Ball, Jonathan (Angela) Hofer, and Laura (Charles) Summers; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Micky, Oliver, Rachel, William, Katelyn, Aidan, Jacob, Luke, Declan, Connor, Lilly, Finnegan, Harrison, Ellowyn, and Emmeryn; and brother, Donald Conrad. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Fred Sheldon Dray, Junior; sisters, Jane Gillian and Judith Zoller; brother, Jack Conrad; daughter-in-law, Lynn Dray; and sons-in-law, Paul W. Gerding, Junior, and Daniel Hofer.

She was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 92 years, starting from the time her parents moved from Milwaukee when she was 4 years old.

She worked at Lutheran Hospital for 22 years, retiring as payroll manager. After her retirement from Lutheran Hospital, she was the secretary for Southwest Allen County Fire District until age 80. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved watching all of their activities.

A funeral service will take place at 11 am, Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Redeemer Lutheran Church (202 W. Rudisill Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46807), with calling from 10 am until the service. A burial will take place following the service at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Jean's honor may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
