Janice Lynne Whitelow (Stalter) was born to Dorothy and Delmar Stalter in Elkhart, Indiana, on
July 29th, 1953. She passed away in her home, surrounded by family, on the 18th of December
2024, at the age of 71.
Janice's upbringing found her traveling across Indiana, before settling in Fort Wayne. There, she
had three children, Alyssa, Jerry, and James. She met her husband Oscar and the two married in
1996, a union that lasted until Oscar's passing. Janice is remembered dearly for always sharing a
laugh, lending an ear to listen, and her immense love toward her family.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Whitelow Jr. and her parents Dorothy and
Delmar Stalter. She is survived by her brother David (Peg) Stalter, her sister Mary Davidson, her
sister Linda (Randall) Drake, her daughter Alyssa Stalter, her son Jerry Stalter, and her son
James (Juanita) McDougalds. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and thirteen
great-grandchildren.
Services to honor her memory will be held at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N Clinton St. Fort Wayne, on the 27th of December at 3:00 PM, with calling an hour prior.
