Janice J. Agler Stevens, 74, of Van Wert, OH, peacefully fell asleep in Jesus, on Friday, January 30,2026, awaiting the blessed hope of Christ’s return. She was a devoted Seventh-day Adventist who loved the Lord and lived her life guided by faith, kindness, and service to others. She was born to the late Ralph and Shirley (Shimer) DeLong in Indianapolis, IN on February 22, 1951. She graduated from Mount Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Academy in Mount Vernon, Ohio in 1970. Jan’s life’s work centered around taking care of others from all walks of life. Janice was a member of the Fort Wayne Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was devoted to her kids and grandkids, and loved walking through the woods, gardening and being social.

Janice is survived by her husband, Bob Stevens; children, Jennifer Sneed, Sherie (Alex) Noble, Daniel Agler; grandchildren, Brooke Noble, Leah (Karl) Noble, Aric Noble, Abigail Forwerck, Aubri Noble, and Kendyl Forwerck; siblings, Jeannie Harp, Ronald (Beverly) Hornaday, Carol Sharpe, Kenny Hornaday, Ralph (Hope) DeLong Jr, Steve (Susan) DeLong, Tami McCoy; dear friends, Patricia Prichard; and many nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Glen DeLong and Kelley DeLong; sisters, Cathy Westenberger and Judy Nickles; nephew, Allen Nickles and niece, Eden Hornaday.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at The Council of Aging in Van Wert, OH from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life Community Movement in Delphos/ Van Wert at American Cancer Society.
