Janet D. Smith, age 78, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Fort Wayne.  She was born near Harlen, IN to the late Mervin and Verna Lengacher.  Janet enjoyed her work as a nutritionist at the Health Food Shop in Fort Wayne. Janet is survived by her husband, Lorin K. Smith;  and siblings,  Milton (Monica) Lengacher, Nyla Lengacher, and Bethene Guarnieri.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Leila Lengacher, Darcy Lengacher, and Lydell Lengacher.
