Janet J. Mata, age 65, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Joseph and Doris Ford. Janet worked in retail with several local stores and also at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. She formerly attended Waynedale United Methodist Church where she participated in several plays. She had a love for animals and always enjoyed spending time with her children and family. Janet is survived by her two children, Anthony Mata and Victoria Mata both of Fort Wayne; and brother, Bob Ford of Fort Wayne. Service is 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to family.
