Janet M. Howell, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet was the daughter of the late Oliver and Elsie Field. She served as a Religious Education Program Teacher with the Associated Churches for 21 years, prior to her retirement in 1990. She was a member of First Christian Church and loved singing. Janet enjoyed birdwatching, and seeing what nature had to offer. She enjoyed playing board games, card games, reading, and spending time with family. Surviving are her children, James Howell, John Howell, and Beth Howell. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howell and brother, David Field. A Celebration of Janet's Life will be 3:30 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2022 at First Christian Church, 6404 S. Calhoun Street (also known as the Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren), with calling from 3 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to Little River Wetlands Project.
