Janet K. Carpenter, 56, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. Janet earned her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in mathematics from IPFW. She also held an A.S. in Computer Science. She specialized in helping students fill in the holes in their mathematic abilities. Janet was very loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Janet is survived by her loving husband David Carpenter; sister, Angelia Niederhelman; brother, David C. Love; sister, Johnna (Patrick) Murphy; nieces and nephews, Laurel, Mary, James, Samuel, and Max; grand nieces and nephews; father figure, David H. Love. She was preceded in death by her mother figure, Elizabeth Love. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 beginning at 3pm at The American Legion Post 241, 7605 Bluffton Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Breaking of Bread will happen at 4pm. She will be laid to rest in Marion National Cemetery.
