James Leroy Walton, age 55, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born in Wakarusa, Indiana, James was the son of Robert Walton and the late Ann (Petry) Walton. He spent his working years serving as a custodian and was known for his dedication and hard work.
James was a faithful attendee of Abundant Life Church and cherished his time with his daughter, JaKeila Ta-Shay Walton. Together, they shared a special tradition of attending the Johnny Appleseed Festival each year. James was also a true "foodie," always in search of the best prime rib. In his free time, he enjoyed action films, WWE, going to car shows, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his daughter, JaKeila Ta-Shay Walton; sister, Joyce Walton; and former spouse and mother of his daughter, Aquila Walton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Walton, and his brother, William Walton.
