James V. Walcutt, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away October 26th surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 24, 1939 in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Angola High School in 1958 and then served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jim retired from International Harvester and moved to Churubusco. He enjoyed 20 years performing in many local bands. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Carole, his son Jeff (Elizabeth) of Fort Wayne, and daughter Julie (Bill) Raspiller of Leo. Siblings include brother Jerry (Helene) of Angola, sisters Judy (Raymond) Oliver of Fort Wayne and Melanie Pardue of Ashley. Grandchildren Marissa (Cory) Moneyheffer of Leesburg, Jenna (Josh) Kennedy of Fort Wayne, Hannah (Maverick) Murray of Lansing, MI, Carson Raspiller of Churubusco and Rigby Larrabee-Walcutt of Fort Wayne. Great-grandchildren Meadow, Fern and Wilder Moneyheffer and August Kennedy. Brother-in-law Robert (Carol) Tolson of Lebanon, OH and sister-in-law Anne (John) Allison of Chesapeake, VA and many nieces, nephews and friends. James was preceded in death by his brother Jack Walcutt and sister Susie Alford, and parents James and Mary Ella Walcutt. Upon Jim's request, there will be no services.
