Obituary

James "Jim/Sugar Bear" B. Sherlock, 74, of Hoagland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Adams Heritage. He was born to the late James and Cecilia (Merkler) Sherlock in Washinton State on December 28, 1950. Jim graduated from Heritage High School in 1970. He married Becky Lynn Heckley on February 26, 1983. Jim retired from BF Goodrich after 44 years. He was a member of Antioch Lutheran Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, drinking coffee with friends, and spending time with his grandson.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Becky Sherlock; daughters, Brooke Sherlock and Tabitha Gorrell; grandson, Sawyer Sherlock; sisters, Phyllis (Keith) Jackson and Betty McPheeters; and several friends and family.

Funeral service will be on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). Visitation will also be on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Lutheran Church and Hoagland Volunteer Fire Department.
