James Reynolds Jr., 80, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021. Born in Twiggs County, Georgia, James was a son of the late James Sr. and Cleo Reynolds. James and his wife Lula moved to Fort Wayne in search of a better life. James worked for PTC for over 26 years, serving as a mechanic and painter. James had the honor of painting a PTC bus and was featured in the newspaper. James joined The Spiritual Israel Church and it's army where he served as a Deacon and later became ordained as a Reverend. James enjoyed playing billiards, cards, fishing and bowling. James is survived by his daughters, Mildred Jackson Smith, Luvern Reynolds, Janice Marie (Kelvin) Reynolds Tarver, Shelia Coakley, and Stephanie Reynolds; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lula Mae Reynolds; daughter, Jacqueline Coley; and siblings, Shirley, Leroy, Elaine, and Willie. Service is 11 am, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 9 am until the service.
