James W. Moore, age 88, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at his home in Fort Wayne.  He was born in Fort Wayne to the late Jesse and Florence Moore.  James worked as a custodian for over 20 years with South Side High School and was 65 year member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where he loved to get involved and help serve.  He is survived by his  daughter, Denise R. Caldwell;  grandchildren, Brandon (Brook) Caldwell, Jasmine (Tommy) Townsend, Samual Buchs and Kaytlon Buchs; great-grandchildren, Anakin, Malachi, and Wyatt; sister Colleen Fisher; brother, David (Debi) Moore; and son-in-law, Jerry Rider. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Moore;  daughter, Jolene Rider;  and two brothers, Richard Moore and Dale Moore.  Funeral Service is 10:30 am Wednesday, April 16 2025 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. with calling one hour prior at the church. Calling also 4 pm-7 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N.
