James Kerry McElroy, Sr., father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. He was 52 years old.



Born in Rome, GA, on October 29,1972. He is preceded in death by his parents Janie Kines Bowling, Jimmy McElroy and Sister Regina Woodard.



He is survived by his son and daughter in law Kerry and Jenna McElroy of Bluffton, Indiana; mother of his son, Lori McElroy of Dalton, GA; sister, Deann Silvers of Rome, GA; his cherished grandson, Azariah, who brought him endless joy; several nieces and nephews; his longtime companion, Linda Conley of Bluffton,Indiana; and his beloved dog, Rocky. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely.



James lived a life marked by kindness and a deep commitment to those he loved. He was known for his unwavering work ethic, and a quiet strength that provided a foundation for his family.



James carried himself with humility, always putting others before himself and lending a helping hand without expectation. He will be missed dearly.
