James A. Konkle Sr., 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Thursday July 22, 2021. James was an accomplished athlete, Tool and Die Maker, owner of Georgetown Footwear and Maplewood Hairdressers. He is survived by his sons, James Jr. (Sheryl), and Joshua (Emily); 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Leslie R. (Marta), Rev. S. Allen (Cindi), Gary N. (Sharon), and Carolyn Rohrer. James was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Irene Konkle; sister, Arlene; brother, Dennis; and son, Jeffrey C. Konkle. Funeral service for James will be on Wednesday July 28th at 11:00 am with calling 1 hour prior at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St). Visitation will also take place on Tuesday July 27, from 5-8 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
