In loving memory of James Edward Keeler, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Herb and Ruth (Hilker) Keeler, James lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family. James, affectionately known as Jim, brought warmth and joy to everyone around him. His journey through life was defined by his love for his family, his passion for sports, and his sense of humor.
Jim began his professional life at Sunbeam, where he worked diligently for over 15 years. After Sunbeam, Jim continued to serve his community as a janitor at Parkview Hospital, where all appreciated his strong work ethic and caring demeanor. Beyond his professional life, Jim had a profound love for sports, particularly NASCAR, Indiana University basketball, and the Indianapolis Colts. His Sundays were often spent with family, enjoying the excitement of a Colts game or discussing the latest NASCAR race.
Jim's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support. His humor and kindness will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jim's legacy will be carried on by his beloved son, Tom (Lisa) Keeler; grandchildren, Heidi (Jeremy) Wilhelm and Kyle Keeler; Sister, Janet Schellenbach; Nieces, Ann (Wally) Gerber and Beth Spiller. Jim's spirit reunites with his parents, his infant sister Carol Ann Keeler, and his beloved brother-in-law, Bill Schellenbach.
Our family would like to thank Lisa, Anitra, and the rest of the Parkview Hospice team for their care and support of our beloved pops and gramps. Our gratitude to you is unmeasurable.
