James "Jim" Howard Goeglein, age 78, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late George and Mildred Goeglein. Jim graduated from Northside High School where he enjoyed playing football. He worked for 38 years as a postal carrier in Fort Wayne, and was a proud Vietnam veteran where he served in the United States army for two years. Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Goeglein; children, Steven (Elizabeth) Goeglein, Dawn (Fred) Osheskie, James (Allison) Goeglein; grandchildren, Christopher Goeglein, Zoey Osheskie, David Osheskie, Connor Goeglein, Avery Goeglein; and brother, George Goeglein. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Doris Pape, Mary Reed, Janice Wilson. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2024, at Epiphany Lutheran Church (6606 Maplecrest Road) with calling from 10:00 am until the service.
