James F. Francis, age 93, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully Monday, May 15, 2023 in Leo, IN. He was born in Stroh, IN to the late Frank and Alice Francis. Jim worked in quality control for the DANA corporation retiring in 1986. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and the Freemason Wayne Lodge No 25, F. & A. M. Jim is survived by his children, James Eric Francis of Portage, MI, Frank Francis of Vicksburg, MI, and Jill (Christopher Bates) Diedring of Fort Wayne; three grandsons, Samuel Francis, Adam Slen, and Benjamin (Tori) Diedring; and his brother, Gaylord (Sandra) Francis of Bradenton, FL. Jim was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Francis; one sister; and two brothers. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 9:00 am. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
