James "Jim" Edwin Corya, was received by our Heavenly Father and realized his salvation on March 17, 2022. Born in his family home near Dupont, Indiana on August 3rd, 1943. Jim was the youngest son of the late Joseph and Lida (Scott) Corya. Jim graduated from Paris Crossing High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Georgetown College. He served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Jim enjoyed a very successful professional career starting with Central Soya and North American Van Lines. He made lifelong friends at both companies and spent cherished time with them regularly. Jim found his true calling helping others. He spent the remainder of his career as the owner of National Corporate Consultants in the human resources industry. Jim loved to learn about people. He was legitimately interested in what made people tick, who was a mentor in their lives and where they've been and are going. Anyone who met him likely received a piece of professional advice or encouragement. He never met a stranger. Jim was an avid golfer and especially loved hitting the links with Brother Knight and Shep. His claim to fame was TWO Hole-In-Ones and he liked to note that one was domestic and one was international. Jim cherished his time with his family and friends. He loved time on the water whether it was up at the lake or the beaches of Mexico. He was an original and faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Laura (Florine). Jim was an incredible man and he left a hole that cannot be filled. Jim will be missed by his children, Kelly Corya, Kim Corya, Matt (Nina) Corya; grandchildren, Grace, Caroline, Molly, Maddox; sister, Patricia Dawson, Kathryn (Eric) Johnson; and sister-in-law, Janet Corya as well as many other cherished family members and dear friends. Jim was welcomed in Heaven by his loving wife, his parents, and his brother Lewis "Buzz" Corya. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Rd, with calling one hour prior. Visitation is Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street. Memorials may be made in Jim's name to Faith Baptist Church or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
