James (Jim) E. Cline, 62 years old

Jim passed away on 6/14/2025 at 2:30 am at Parkview Hospital.

Jim graduated in 1981 from Northside High School. He was in marching band, jazz band, and Wild Siders. He played the trumpet.

After graduation he started working at Parkview Hospital on Randallia, where he worked for almost 45 years. In 1984 he married his high school sweetheart, Jody (Kapp) Cline. They were married for almost 41 years.

Jim loved music. His favorite bands and musicians were Genesis, the Beatles, Peter Gabriel, and Phil Collins. His love for music was his passion. There wasn't an instrument he couldn't master; he could play anything. He even had a studio in his home where he enjoyed making music.

Besides his love for music, he loved his family. He cherished his wife, three kids, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.

He loved being a Papa and enjoyed family time. He loved to grill and would tell the family what he was going to grill that day. One of his favorite activities was to have a smoke, drink a beer, and listen to his favorite songs, all while firing up the grill. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, and his favorite time of the day was his 4 o'clock coffee time.

He is survived by his wife, Jody (Kapp) Cline; three kids, James (Jess) Cline, Jenna (Brent) Newport, and Justin Cline; two granddaughters, Ivy Jo and Eden Maisie; his father, John M. Cline; siblings, Kathy (Ron) Partridge, John (Connie) Cline, Bill (Martia) Cline, Laura (Al) Grindley, and Bob Cline; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly A. Cline; grandparents; mother-in-law; father-in-law; sister-in-law; his uncle Bill Cline; his dog Sophie; and several cats.

His celebration of life will be on July 12th, 2025, at his home.
