Irma E. Gerke (Meswarp), 93, went home to be with her Savior on December 14, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Fred and Opal Meswarp.

Irma is survived by her children, Marsha (Robert) Couture, Kathy (Chris) Larson, and Gary (Sheila) Gerke; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Gerke; and sister, Jane Bassett.

Irma worked at Mutual Security Life Insurance and Fort Wayne Development Center, and was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

A public visitation will take place from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Fairhaven Funeral Home (6557 N. Clinton Street). A funeral service will take place the following day at 11am, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Church (4245 Lake Avenue) with visitation from 10am until the service. Memorial donations may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church.
