Iris Joan Storms, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Born in Pineville, Kentucky, Iris was the daughter of the late Sam and Jesse Johnson. Iris was a true Southern Belle, loving wife, mother, and mamaw to her family. She had a servants heart for everyone she met. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and attended Ekklesia in Harlan. Iris enjoyed reading, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Surviving are her children, Kimberly (Mark) Smedal, Monty (Terri) Storms, Tammy Long, Deanna Storms; grandchildren, Tony (Meggen) Smedal, Chris (Jena Smith) Smedal, PFC John (Allie) Smedal, Isaac Charles Storms, Olivia (Bryan) Lewis, Ethan Storms, Matthew (Kalynn Clem) Owens; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Smedal and Melody Smedal. Iris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Storms; son Charles Michael Storms; grandson, Trevor Robert Bussen (son of Deanna Storms); and siblings, Aubrey Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Rita Hoskins. Service is 11 am, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling will be at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Memorials may be made to Hope for Animals or Allen County SPCA.
