Inez LaVerne Slentz, 90, of Leo, went Home to Jesus on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was born to the late Russell "Tut" and Alice Lucille (Clouse) Ray in Noble County, IN on November 21, 1933. She graduated from Albion High School in 1951. She married the late Clifford L. Slentz on February 8, 1953. She retired from the USPS as a US Postal Clerk. Inez was an active member of Leo Methodist Church and loved singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Leo Ski Club and a long time member of The Senior Saints singing group. She enjoyed square dancing, mowing, and growing flowers. Inez spent her winters in Frostproof, FL for 25 years.

Inez is survived by her daughter, Terez (Dennis) Zorger; son, Troy (Lori) Slentz; grandchildren, Tony (Jennifer) Zorger of Fishers, IN, Andy (Rachel) Zorger of Aurora, IL, Bradly Ervin of Fort Wayne, IN, April (Kenny Walpole) Ervin of Fort Wayne, IN, Kindra (Matt Dauscher) Slentz of Stroh, IN; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Patsy Gaff. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her special friend, Keith Stevens.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Leo Methodist Church (13527 Leo Rd, Leo, IN 46765) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Cancer Services of NE IN, or Leo Methodist Church.
