Ida H. Purvis, age 75, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was raised in Marion, IN and a graduate of Marion High School. Ida was a lifelong resident of Marion, IN, and Silver Lake, IN. She loved all things living, including bugs, birds, animals, and people. She loved to garden and grew huge houseplants. Ida was married to Steve Purvis for over 30 years, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, Al Schneider; sister, Peggy Yawberg (Schneider); and her brother, Hank Schneider. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Schneider; brother-in-law, Mark Yawberg; and her dog, Bindi. Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services have been entrusted with the arrangements.
