Holly Johnson, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family, following her brave 10 year battle with cancer. Born in Warsaw, Holly was a daughter of the late Donald Schue and Eileen Schue, who survives. Holly graduated from Warsaw High School, class of 1978. Holly met the love of her life, Bruce Johnson, at her high school job working at the Holiday Inn restaurant. They were married on Aug 1, 1981 in Warsaw. Holly was a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandma, and caring sister to her family. Holly enjoyed taking care of her yard, gardening, cooking, watching British murder mysteries shows, and listening to music. Holly really loved being a grandma and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Holly had a heart for serving others, as shown in her time serving as a Stephen minister and working at Kingston Assisted Living. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Bruce Johnson; daughters, Julie Johnson (Patrick Kessler), Autumn (Ryan) Magsam, Laura (Garrett) Harter; grandchildren, Thadius Harter, Seth Harter, Arya Harter, Henry Magsam, Dorian Harter; sisters, Sherry (Earl) Ward, Lisa Monroe, Delana Schue and Donna (Frank) DiRico. Holly was preceded in death by her brother-in-laws, Mike Monroe and Frank Holcomb. Service is 12 noon, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Avenue, with calling from 10 am until the service. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
