Hermon Ababu Minda, age 25, passed away May 15, 2026, in South Bend, IN. She was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Ababu Minda Yimene and Tsion Teklu Maru, who survive.

She graduated from Canterbury High School in 2018 and later graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's degree in communication and film studies in 2022. Hermona, as everyone called her, was an artist who liked to paint, was a deep thinker, and a very good writer. Her dream was to own a farmhouse with a lot of rescued animals and write her books.

She worked as an executive assistant with several companies.

Hermon was also survived by her sister, Hebron Minda Al Saiegh.

Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at First Assembly of God, 1400 W. Washington Center Rd., with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
