Herbert "Lee" Beattie, 87, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Ohio to the late John and Mary Beattie.

Lee was very passionate about his work where he was employed at AT&T for 41 years. In his early career before he worked for AT&T, he worked as a TV repairman, which is where he was working when he met his beloved wife, Virginia. Lee and Virginia were married December 22, 1957. He was a wonderful caretaker, who took care of his family, his property, and his cars. He deeply loved his entire family and looked out for them. He was a man of faith and a long time member at Blackhawk Ministries.

Lee is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Virginia Beattie; children, Julanne (John) Molitor, and Brian Beattie; two grandchildren, Emily Molitor, and Jeremiah Molitor; and brother, John Beattie Jr.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Elizabeth, and Sandra Joan.

A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Blackhawk Ministries.
