Helga Gonzalez-Castro, 54, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Bronx, New York on September 28, 1967. Most recently she worked as an administrative assistant at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Helga enjoyed painting and working with ceramics. She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be greatly missed. Helga is survived by her husband, Fidelino Castro; two sons, Joshua Kleinwaks and Elias Ruiz; parents, Antonio Jr. and Helga Vivian Gonzalez; siblings, Janine (Dr. Matthew) Hannibal, Anthony (J.R. Thurmond) Gonzalez, Amanda Gonzalez, Christina Gonzalez, and Jonathan Gonzalez; aunt, Violet Delgado;
nephews, Aidan and Asher Hannibal; and her little dog, Cosmo. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services are handling the arrangements.
