Helen E. Widdifield, 96, passed Monday, November 8, 2021 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Saskatchewan, Canada to the late Wilford and Virginia Rariden. Helen was a member of North Scipio United Methodist Church. She worked 15 years as a hostess for Hobby Ranch House and volunteered for the American Red Cross. Helen enjoyed sewing and fashion modeling. She is survived by her children, Judy Hegerfeld of Fort Wayne, and Todd (Laura) Widdifield of Harlan, IN; daughter-in-law, Kim Vito of Fairborn, OH; six grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Zaegel, Kelly Novielli, Renee Boger, Chloe (Steve Forey) Widdifield, Courtney (Alex) Heffelfinger, and Caitlin (Seth) Ayers; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Widdifield; son, Ron Widdifield; granddaughter, Stacy Hegerfeld; sister, Blanche Amstutz; brother, James Rariden; and son-in-law, Jerry Hegerfeld. Service is 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St. with calling two hours prior beginning at 1:00 pm. A private graveside service will take place at Scipio Cemetery of Harlan, IN. Memorials may be made to the Harlan Christian Youth Center or the North Scipio United Methodist Church.
